Eye

So... about a year ago i noticed that Rylee
was blinking her left eye a lot.
Her pediatrician thought her vision was off
so she referred me to a pediatric ophthalmogist in October.
Rylee was 20/20. I asked the doc if her left eye blinking more
than her right was a big deal. He said that some kids form a habit
and eventually grow out of it.
I decided to let it go and not worry about it.

Over the past 6 months her left eye has been getting a lot worse.
It blinks all the time really fast. I made an appt and today

was the day. We went in this morning to talk a little

more about this crazy eye.
The doctor did a few little tests and took a look
with all his interesting equipment. He was very vague and

didn't say a whole
lot. He noticed her doing it during our appointment and said its
involuntary which concerned him. He said he wants us
to get in and see a ophtha-neurologist at
the University of Utah hospital. Since the waiting list is

about 5 months to get in he decided to call himself to schedule for us.
He made the appointment for 4 weeks from now.
June 18th is the day.
He was pretty concerned and mentioned something
about it most likely being nerve related and
then said the word benign.
BENIGN... what is that supposed to mean?
You think she has a tumor in there?
He didn't say anything back to that but said we
should get in sooner than later..
Please keep Rylee in your prayers.
I will keep you all posted.
We obviously hope for the best around here and are
not going to think about until we know more.

Happy Mothers Day

This year we were able to
CELEBRATE
Mothers Day with some
very important mothers in our lives.

We flew out bright and early
for Nana's house Mothers Day morning.
What a perfect day it was!
We went straight to Grandma Johannesen's
house for a yummy dinner prepared by the guys.

Ry was ecstatic to say the least!

My hair grew 18 inches in 4 hours
on Tuesday!
I told Rylee that broccoli makes
your hair grow so I'm sure
she thinks I ate broccoli all day while she was at school;)

Usually I wouldn't pose like this but
Rylee insisted that I put my hands
on my hips just like she does for a pic.

Lucky Penn"ies"

We needed a breath of fresh air
BADLY this evening.
The weather has been ridiculously cold.
Since the sun decided to shows its
pretty little self for a bit this afternoon
we decided to take advantage.

Ry is obsessed with going around the
block in her stylin ride. She is always a few feet in
front of me. Tonight we happened to come upon
a whole lotta pennies. Ry drove right on past without
noticing. I however noticed and yelled to Ry to throw
her Cadi in reverse.

When Ry asked why I told her there were a bunch
of lucky pennies.
"WOOOHOOOO"
was her response.
Boy was she happy when she got to the scene
to find a handful of pennies, one quarter, and one nickle.
After collecting every last one of them
she QUICKLY returned home to place
then safely in her pink piggy bank;)
