1st day of 1st grade

 

Rylee had her first day of school today! 

She was pumped and excited to begin a fresh

year with a new teacher! 

Rylee was happy to see a few familiar faces in her new class.

The chatter box returned home tired and thirsty!

All day school is going to take a little time to adjust...

for both of us:)

 

Friday Harbor

We took a ferry ride today out to Friday Harbor. Rylee really wanted to go on a big boat and this island has cute shops, I've cream, and restaurants. So we woke up early and caught the 9am ferry to play:) The weather was fabulous... Added bones!

AG Seattle

Grandpa Lewis really wanted to take a trip to the city to participate in the all you can eat shrimp at red lobster:) luckily the AG store was just down the street... So we did a little shopping before dinner. Rylee has been in love with the McKenna girl of the year bc she's a gymnast just like her:) All of McKenna's gear has been on back order since Jan so we haven't been able to order it. Boy was it a HUGE surprise when we walked into the store to find the bar and beam on display with 4 boxes beneath for purchase. We weren't planning on buying anything big that day but the excitement that it was right there was just too much:) SO, it was out lucky day that we were able to take home 1 of 4 shipped to the Seattle store:)

Woodland Park Zoo!

We hit the zoo this trip with my friend Shalyce and her cute boys! I've always wanted to make a trip with Rylee there now that she's older! This zoo definitely puts our little Utah Zoo to shame. I loved that we were able to see flamingos and hippos! Added bonus that the weather was a perfect 80 degrees:)

Langs pony farm

I'm thinking we've started a tradition that may not end for many years. One of rylees favorite things to do in WA is go to the pony farm and ride, comb, feed, and adore ponies. Luckily grace has the same love for horses as Rylee so they have gotten to do it together 2 summers in a row now. Here are some pictures of today's fun:)

Regionals

Ry had an awesome time swimming at regionals last week! She swam her fastest time ever in freestyle... Swimming 25 yards in 24.69 seconds making her place 4th out of 20! She has loved participating on the swim team and can't wait to do it again next summer:)

Beach, birch bay, and birthday!

Yesterday was a big day around here. We started off with the beach for cousin Lauren's birthday, then up to birch bay waterslides for cousin Jacobs birthday, then Red robin for dinner and desert:)

Road trip!

We decided to road trip it to WA last minute. The drive felt looong but with a few stops and playing outside we made it:)

Rylee spends most of her time looking like this... Anywhere and everywhere she'd rather flip then walk:)

Oh... And Rylee has done so well in swimming she made it to regionals. I'll post a video soon:)

Thanksgiving point

Today we met up with Sarah, Allison, Nate, and kids for a fun morning at the Thanksgiving Point Children's Discovery Garden. The kids had a blast running around, playing in water, feeding fish, having a picnic, and discovering;) Thanks for the good idea Sarah!
