Happy Christmas

Happy Christmas to you! We hope the day was great for all of you! We had an interesting Christmas this year. Rylee was away with her dad for the big day so that was hard but we got Paul, Missy, Matt, Afton, and Halle this year at our house. It was fun to watch the kids open there gifts from Santa. It's so real at that age. Its was magical and extremely entertaining to watch!

Rylee had her first dance performance tonight and she was AMAZING! I was so proud of her. I was a little nervous because I wasn't sure if she would actually go out on stage with her class but she did and had a great time doing it! We were lucky to have Grandpa, Granny Kate, Aunt Sarah, and Baby Josh come with us to watch! This video is a little far away but it works. We're So proud of you!

We made it!

Well... We are finally here! Rylee made it the whole 17 days with the paper chain. She only took two off in the same day once. I honestly think my smarty pants thought it would speed up the process to getting to see her Nana faster! Rylee is in Heaven! Nana (a.k.a. sucker) Will let my little monster do absolutely ANYTHING she wants and I'm beginning to think Rylee is completely aware of this. I don't think that very much damage can be done in the whole 6 days were here so I have made a conscious decision to "let" Nana spoil her. I say "let" because my say gets vetoed anyway. This picture is of Little Miss playing with the pet rodent. Later that vermin bit my angel but that's a whole story in and of itself. Like I said... I have no say what goes on while here. Rylee has a blast and I can sit back and relax. (I have no problem doing that) I thought about getting offended that my daughter wants NOTHING to do with me when her Nana is around but after just one second I realized... THIS IS HEAVEN! I have a happy, fed, clean(sometimes), entertained kid, and I do none of the work. This is the life!

BIG MISTAKE

So I booked tickets last night to go to Nana's house and for some odd reason decided to tell Rylee about it. I now have 17 days of complete misery. We made a paper chain today. I was explaining to her that when we were done pulling off the papers day by day it would be time to go to Nana's house. Obviously she didn't understand. When we finished putting it together she said "OK mama lets go to Nana's house now!" Here is Rylee showing off her "Nana Chain" in anticipation of leaving!

Fabulous Fire Station Field Trip!

Yesterday my best "guy" friend and I took Rylee to the fire station where his brother works for a tour. She was SO excited. I told her about our plans Saturday night and when she woke up Sunday morning the first thing she said was "HOOORRRAAAY today we see FIRE TRUCK" The fire men were all SO nice to her and it helps that they are ALL totally cute! They spent about an hour showing her all around the station. They even called dispatch and sent out an alarm to the station welcoming Rylee! She had a great time and loved all the souvenirs they sent her home with!

Advice PLEASE

So... As you can see Rylee is wearing "big girl" panties. She LOVES picking them out in the morning and showing them off throughout the day. Last week was a great success and I was actually telling people how easy it was. I know... FIRST HUGE MISTAKE! I take it back, ALL OF IT. I'm totally sick of it. I refuse to clean them so I have thrown away 2 pair today. Yes 2 pair! There not cheap... like 4 bucks for the cute ones. HELP PLEASE! Diapers again or keep with it and stay calm? Any great ideas or tricks? Thanks much

COSTUME PARTY!

I decided to throw a Halloween Party again this year for Rylee and some of her friends. We had a great time! The night started out with pizza and a craft. We made pumpkin door hangers. Next we decorated spooky cupcakes! We did a "cake walk" and a treasure hunt outside in the dark. This was by far the best part of the night. The kids went CRAZY! I bought little flashlights and put clues outside during the day. It was so fun watching those kids RUN and SCREAM (the good kind) all around the yard looking for clues. I had them looking up in a tree for a birdhouse for 5 minutes. It actually hangs on the fence but why not let them waste some energy trying to look in the tree? I think the party was a huge success! Kun-kin Patch

We went to pick out pumpkins (kunkins if your name is Rylee) with Iya(Sarah) and Baby Josh today! They were a little heavy for Miss Thang to pick up but she had fun trying! We are having a pumpkin carving Bash next Monday with the family... and now we are prepared! Can't wait to see what you CREATIVE people come up with this year! Spencer... that means you!!

A day at SEA

Today we sailed the day away. I think i might have convinced Rylee that we are on a boat. still not sure. We played in the pool almost ALL day. I couldn't get her away from it. It started raining twice while we were swimming. I was pretty cool to be in the middle of the ocean, in a warm pool with the sun out and have it all of the sudden start to rain. Anyways... We had a really fun day. I am now burnt even more and stuffed from the lobster and steak I just ate. About to go get an ice cream cone!

BAHAMAS!

Today we stopped at Princess Cays, which is in the Bahamas. The island is 2 miles wide and 100 miles long. It is beautiful! We had a BLAST! The water was perfect and sand was white! We played in the OCEAN all morning. We could see our boat out in the water from the island. Rylee kept saying "look over there at our hotel" I thought that she would finally realize today that we are on a boat but I was wrong. She still thinks we are in a huge hotel that happens to be in water. She has been so fun on this trip. Im glad she is having so much fun!

P.S. I have taked some pictures and I cant figure out thas computer. I will try again tomorrow.

Big boat!

As some of you may know... We have been in Florida for the past few days and boarded our cruise ship this morning. Rylee can't figure out that we are on a boat. It is the funniest thing. We sailed out around 5:00 tonight and she finally realized we were in a "moving" hotel. We are having a blast! Just finished an exciting game of B-I-N-G-O! The prize is $500.00 and we were SO close! were going to win one of these nights! Thanks Dad and Kathryn for bringing us along!

APPLE OF MY EYE

I am well aware that I have taken the longest break ever from the blogging world. I am sorry for that. I had a credit at Kiddie Kandids that was about to expire so Rylee and I made a trip to the mall yesterday. I fell in love with this sweet picture of Miss. Rylee Kate. She once again had a blast with the photographer. If she is willing to pose like this ALL the time i will consider my life perfect!

New Nephew!

As many of you know, my sister and her husband have been patiently waiting for a little baby to join there family. They received a much awaited phone call yesterday telling them they would be the parents of a beautiful baby boy! He is everything anyone could ever ask for! He is amazing! So tiny. So adorable. So ready for a mommy and daddy to love him! Sarah and Andrew are going to be wonderful parents! Congrats! Check out Joshua Andrew HERE

My sister is so amazing. She is so thoughtful, loving, caring, creative, beautiful, inspiring, funny... I could seriously go on FOREVER!
